Exclusive First Look — As Disneyland Paris
gets ready to sparkle again in 2017, Mickey Mouse and all his friends old and new have sent out a special message in a brand new, official promotional video for the
25th Anniversary year.
Watch it on
DLP Today first:
“We’re all so excited to see you,” say the characters.
Surprisingly, that includes the new-look faces of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, standing in front of the two Disneyland Paris park icons: Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant and the Earffel Tower.
The updated characters were first introduced at
Shanghai Disneyland.
Though the “new-look” Mickey Mouse is currently featured in Mickey and the Magician, the new show at Walt Disney Studios Park, he isn’t yet used anywhere else.
Minnie Mouse meanwhile hasn’t appeared with her new look
anywhere at the Parisian resort, and this is the very first time the two refreshed characters have appeared in any general Disneyland Paris advertising.
Though it’s been expected that the pair would be updated in due course, no timeframe has previously even been rumoured.
So, does this mean the pair will be “updated” across the resort, ready and waiting for the
25th Anniversary in late March 2017?
But let’s not overshadow this beautiful Disneyland Paris trailer itself.
Featuring a succession of characters moving in and out of focus against vibrant park backdrops, this is without doubt one of the simplest yet one of the richest promotional videos the resort has ever produced.
A clever use of music and camera focus leads us into and out of each scene, highlighting the wealth of beautiful environments on offer in the parks. A crescendo builds to introduce the newest stars now firmly within the Disney family: Darth Vader and R2D2.
There is no gimmick. No cheap CGI. Just beautiful images of a beautiful place, as we’ve always wanted to see. Dreams do come true.
No go on, watch it a fifth time…
