Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast

Zurg is on the loose!

Join forces with Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, as you become an honorary Space Ranger and battle to save the toy universe from the threat of invasion by evil emperor Zurg!

In the outer sectors of the Gamma Quadrant, Zurg has masterminded an evil army of power-hungry, invading robots, which require the theft of every single power cell in the universe! Should all the power cells be captured, toys everywhere will be left powerless and at the mercy of Zurg's evil plans, sending the universe spiralling into turmoil and sparking a situation so desperate that not even the Universe Protection Unit can handle!

Pilot your XP-41 Space Cruiser to infinity and beyond, then get ready to blast away at the battery-guzzling robots of Zurg's evil empire. It's a code-red intergalactic emergency mission - will you be able to save the day and become a Galactic Hero?

Battle Zurg and his robot army in an interactive "Omnimover" dark ride, with laser guns and rotating vehicles.

  • Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast covers a total area of 1,376.50 square metres. The ride track of the attraction is 163.87 metres long.
  • The attraction features 88 targets for guests to shoot at, with the aim of scoring as many points as possible. Once certain targets have been hit, others are revealed within the sets. For example, the "Alien-in-a-Box" on Planet Z has three hidden targets, with each one worth more points than the last.
  • As a tribute to Le Visionarium, the attraction which occupied this space from 1992 to 2004 one of the characters remains floating in hyperspace as a permanent reminder: 9-Eye, the eccentric female robot with 9 cameras for eyes, can be spotted behind the giant robot on your left as you begin the ride.
  • Five interactive Buzz Lightyear dark-ride attractions can now be found around the world, one of the few selected attractions to be featured at every magic kingdom park.

Ooooh! There are no less than 725 Little Green Men featured throughout the attraction!

Tips

  • If you're going to ride several times the same day and want an on-ride photo to prove your best score, remember to note down the photo number and your score each time you ride — that way, you buy the best score at the end of the day. You might not always improve each time!
  • With 88 different targets throughout the ride, some might not always work. If a target doesn't flash or animate the first time you hit it, move onto another — your time is precious, Space Ranger!

Advice

  • No transfer required. A specially-adapted vehicle is available for guests using wheelchairs.
