Off to Never Land!
A fleet of enchanted pirate ships are waiting to take you through the Darling household and soaring up into the skies above London.
Then, with a smile in your heart, follow the second star to the right and Never Never Land awaits! You'll circle the island before swooping down to discover that Captain Hook is up to his nasty tricks again.
You step inside the intimate cavern from one of three entrances and become immersed in the echoes and rumblings, the exasperated growls of the dragon and the awesome, incomprehensible rockwork, dimly lit by dragon-shaped lamps in dramatic colours.
Have no fear, Peter Pan comes to the rescue and a glittering pixie dust finale brings this classic tale to a happy ending.

Trivia
- The 16 flying galleons navigate through 11 different scenes in the ride, including two particular favourites which feature the scenery not on either side but below you — your departure from London and your arrival over Never Land.
- The ride system of Peter Pan's Flight remains unique to this attraction in the world of Disney theme parks, though proposals have existed for its use elsewhere — notably in a dark ride based on The Little Mermaid which was originally due to be constructed opposite Pizzeria Bella Notte. The concept was later brought to life for California and Florida, but using an Omnimover system more similar to Phantom Manor.
- This was the only edition to seat guests in two rows per flying pirate ship, rather than just one. However, this changed in 2009 when Disneyland in California added new, longer boats. It still has the longest ride time, however — 3 minutes compared to around 2 minutes 30 seconds.
- The classic Imagineering trick of forced perspective is used to great effect on the aerial London and Never Land scenes, with the landscape's vertical height elongated to make it appear further away and the miniaturised buildings of London much taller than they truly are.
- Imagineering legend tells of fun and games during the testing of the ride — particularly on one occasion when the ride failed and the Imagineers on-board, suspended eight feet in the air, were unable to get down since no emergency ladder had yet been installed!
- This version was actually modelled more on the 1955/1983 Disneyland original than the later 1971 Magic Kingdom and 1983 Tokyo Disneyland versions, with no moving ramp in the boarding area and more similar scenes to the California edition.
- The exterior design is reminiscent of, but certainly not identical to, the original Disneyland attraction. The clock tower is the most familiar element, whilst details such as the Pirate Ship and Crocodile weathervanes have also been faithfully replicated.
- Incredibly, for such a complex ride, Peter Pan's Flight was one of the opening day attractions at Disneyland in 1955. In 1983, along with much of Fantasyland, Peter Pan's Flight in California underwent a drastic overhaul. Like other dark rides in the area, this included the addition of the main character - here Peter Pan - to the show scenes. Previously, guests would have experienced the attraction entirely as if they were Peter himself.
- In July 2004, the attraction underwent a small redesign of its queue and boarding areas. The final section of the queue was split in half to finally provide a covered Fastpass line, new signage and wait time boards were added, and, most importantly, hydraulic air gates were added to the loading platform. This greatly improved the hourly capacity of the attraction, allowing two vehicles to safely board at once, one for Fastpass guests and one for the regular queue.

Tips
- Despite this verison of the classic Disneyland attraction having larger vehicles with two rows rather than just one, Peter Pan's Flight still attracts some of the lengthiest queues in the park. The best tip is to ride during Extra Magic Hours. If you can't take advantage of these, pick up a FASTPASS or ride as early or late in the day as possible.
- If you do decide to grab a FASTPASS, make it as early in the day as possible. The fairly low capacity of this attraction means fewer tickets are available, and are often all allocated before even midday.
