Camera accessories
Whether you're in the digital age or still enjoying classic 35mm prints, the resort provides a multitude of camera accessories for sale at numerous locations, specifically the two photography stores listed above. In the past, almost every boutique sold disposible single-use cameras and 35mm film stock behind the counter, although with the advance of digital photography these are becoming more and more confined to the main photography stores.
Memory cards and batteries are available to buy, but prices are likely to be higher than you'd pay elsewhere. If you need a particularly expensive memory card, replacement battery or other accessory whilst you're at the resort, consider visiting the Val d'Europe International Shopping Centre, just one stop away on the RER train. The vast Auchan hypermarket has a large electronics department on the ground floor, as you enter.
Remember!
If visiting from the UK, Ireland or other country outside Northern Continental Europe, you'll need an electrical plug socket adapter to charge your camera batteries each night!
Photography tips and tricks
There's nowhere better to perfect your photography skills — after all, Disneyland is designed like a walk-in movie set — but here are some top tips to help:
- Look out for the Kodak Photo Point signs around the parks to find great backdrops for your group photos.
- It is forbidden to use a camera flash in indoor attractions, and is advised against during events such as nighttime parades and fireworks.
- At nighttime, use the trash cans (bins) as a makeshift tripod to steady your camera against blurred night shots!
