The rumoured Star Wars-themed Hyperspace Mountain overlay of Space Mountain: Mission 2 is now all but confirmed, as new refurbishment schedules list the attraction as closed from 9th January 2017. After almost 12 years, this makes Sunday, 8th January very likely the last day you’ll be able to launch to “the edge of the universe” on the less-appreciated sequel to the 1995 classic. Read More…

Disneyland Paris has officially announced that the rumoured Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival will indeed open at Discoveryland Theatre on 2nd July 2016, replacing the Ant-Man movie preview which ended its overlong run this week.

Looks like you’re going to have to finally buy the “Ant-Man” Blu-ray (available for almost five months). It’s reported that the “preview” of the Marvel Studios movie playing in Discoveryland on and off since June last year will finally be replaced soon, with the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival, an import from Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, taking its place. The Force – it’s calling to you. Just open your wallet. In an all-too-last-minute scheduling, Disneyland Paris has opened bookings for a brand new “Star Wars Night” ticketed after-hours event, happening at Disneyland Park on 16th December.
To mark the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at cinemas, the night will include privatised access to Discoveryland, character appearances and exclusive entertainment, souvenirs and merchandise — but at a steep price of €85 per person. Read More…

Disneyland Paris has formally revealed a four-point renovation plan to “reinvent the magic”, covering ten key attractions in both parks. In planning for several years with the codename “Project Sparkle”, the major slate of refurbishments and updates will both restore lost details and add fresh new features, aiming to bring the Disneyland Paris experience fully in line with its American counterparts.
