Disneyland Paris continues to expand and improve upon its use of illuminated, choreographed drones for nighttime events, with this year’s brand new 14th July Bastille Day fireworks show featuring the technology for the first time.

As Avengers Campus in Walt Disney Studios Park prepares for its 20th July 2022 public opening, Disneyland Paris has announced a schedule of livestream events for the new Marvel land’s official inauguration weekend.

Disneyland Paris has made the first notable concession to its almost universal policy of wearing face masks in the public areas of its parks and resort, by allowing guests to remove their masks for photos at the designated Disney character Selfie Spots.

Disneyland Paris has confirmed its 30th Anniversary celebrations will begin in just six months’ time: on 6th March 2022. The resort’s 30th Anniversary logo has also been published for the first time.

France has extended the use of its “pass sanitaire” health (or sanitary) pass to cover theme parks, meaning that Disneyland Paris will now be legally obliged to check visitors are either fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a recent negative test.

Disneyland Paris has opened bookings for resort hotel and park ticket packages through to summer 2022, right up until 30th September 2022, allowing many to book their planned return to the Disney resort after two years of upheaval.

It’s hard to imagine the final few months of the year at Disneyland Paris without its popular seasonal overlays but, in a year when it seems everything is up for change, it’s still good to know Halloween and Christmas will return.

Disney’s Fastpass will not return to Disneyland Paris, the resort confirms, as it launches a new, paid replacement service titled Disney Premier Access that will cost visitors up to €15 per person, per ride just to skip a single queue.
